Avatar Beginner is a Standard Izzet (blue-red) tempo/spells-matter deck. It plays a low curve of cheap cantrips, burn, and interaction—like Opt, Sleight of Hand, Spell Pierce, Torch the Tower, and Burst Lightning—to control the pace of the game while digging through the deck.

Its main synergy is with Slickshot Show-Off, which rewards you for casting multiple noncreature spells by turning those cheap spells into fast pressure and burst damage. The deck aims to chip in early with evasive threats, protect its board, and finish the opponent with pumped attacks and burn spells.
