Zemo's Cruel Attrition

Zemo’s Cruel Attrition is a mono-black Commander attrition/aristocrats deck built around grinding value through sacrifice, removal, and incremental life-drain. Its game plan is to pick apart opposing boards, force trades, and steadily pull ahead with creatures that like dying or leaving value behind.

Key synergies include edict effects and kill spells like Merciless Executioner, Hero’s Downfall, and Eaten Alive, plus sacrifice fodder/value creatures such as Perilous Myr, Burnished Hart, Woe Strider, and Fell Stinger. Cards like Marauding Blight-Priest, Ruthless Cullblade, and other cruel-value creatures help convert that grind into pressure. The deck aims to win by outlasting the table, draining life, and attacking once opponents are stripped of resources and unable to keep a board.
