It aims to control the board with cheap interaction like Fatal Push, Eaten Alive, Hero’s Downfall, and Blasphemous Edict, while deploying recursive and expendable creatures such as Reassembling Skeleton and Diregraf Ghoul. The main synergies come from sacrifice payoffs like Zulaport Cutthroat and card-advantage engines like Midnight Reaper, Dark Confidant, and Phyrexian Arena, letting the deck keep resources flowing while wearing the opponent down.

The deck usually wins by attrition—trading resources efficiently, draining life through repeated creature deaths, and eventually taking over with resilient threats or a late-game finisher like Ugin, Eye of the Storms.
