∅ Hydrobomb ∅ is a mono-black Commander voltron/control deck that appears built around Kain, Traitorous Dragoon as a single large threat.

It plays like a black goodstuff control shell: lots of efficient removal and sweepers (Go for the Throat, Toxic Deluge, Crux of Fate, Mutilate, Black Sun’s Zenith) clear the board while black draw engines (Phyrexian Arena, Greed, Night’s Whisper, Read the Bones, Seizan, Peer into the Abyss) keep cards flowing.

The main plan is to suit up the commander with equipment/auras like Lashwrithe, Nightmare Lash, Hero’s Blade, Whispersilk Cloak, Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Darksteel Plate, then push through damage with evasion from Rogue’s Passage, Access Tunnel, Whispersilk Cloak. There’s also a strong infect subtheme with Phyresis and Glistening Oil, letting one huge attacker threaten poison kills very quickly.
