the Greatest American Hero

the Greatest American Hero is a Jeskai (blue-white-red) Commander combo-control deck built around Elsha of the Infinite. Its game plan is to play a reactive control shell with lots of cheap cantrips, countermagic, and efficient interaction, while using Elsha, Sensei’s Divining Top, and Scroll Rack to generate card selection and velocity from the top of the library.

The deck primarily aims to win through spell-based combo lines, especially Underworld Breach, Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal, and storm-style turns fueled by Jeskai Ascendancy, Jeska’s Will, and fast mana rocks. These lines can generate infinite or near-infinite mana/spell casts, then finish with Aetherflux Reservoir or by creating a huge board with Monastery Mentor. Protection is a major theme, with cards like Silence, Grand Abolisher, Ranger-Captain of Eos, and a dense counterspell suite helping force through combo turns safely.
