The deck aims to slow the table with counters, removal, and sweepers, then generate value through discard payoffs, stolen cards, and reanimation. Big Bolas planeswalkers and Cruel Ultimatum provide late-game inevitability, while Living Death, Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize let it reuse strong creatures like Torrential Gearhulk, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Nicol Bolas, the Ravager.
