Withering Brood Engine is a Jund (-B/R/G) Commander deck built around -1/-1 counters, proliferate, and token generation—essentially an aristocrats/control engine deck.

Its core plan is to spread -1/-1 counters across creatures with cards like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Blowfly Infestation, Contagion Engine/Clasp, Carnifex Demon, Soul Snuffers, and Black Sun’s Zenith, then turn that into value through payoffs like Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses, Obelisk Spider, and The Scorpion God. Yawgmoth, Thran Physician is a major synergy piece, letting the deck sacrifice creatures, place counters, draw cards, and keep the engine running.

The deck wins by grinding the board down, generating swarms of Snake/Insect/Elf tokens, draining opponents with counter payoffs, and repeatedly sweeping or shrinking creatures until it can overwhelm the table with incremental advantage.
