Angelic Taxes

Angelic Taxes is a white-blue midrange/taxes deck built around efficient disruption, token pressure, and powerful Angels. It slows opponents down with cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Elite Spellbinder, and cheap removal such as Portable Hole, Glass Casket, and Fateful Absence, while developing a board of value creatures.

Its main synergies come from Giada, Font of Hope ramping and growing Angels, Welcoming Vampire and Serra Paragon providing card/value recursion, and Oketra’s Monument, Adeline, Captain of the Watch, and planeswalkers like Elspeth helping go wide. The deck usually wins by stabilizing early, then taking over combat with large flying threats like Lyra, Baneslayer Angel, Boon-Bringer Valkyrie, and Angel of Sanctions, often backed by anthem-style pressure and resilient board presence.
