Codex of Cascades

Codex of Cascades is a five-color Commander goodstuff/spellslinger-value deck built around Codie, Ravenous Codex. Its game plan is to ramp quickly, fix all five colors, and leverage Codie plus the “Emeritus” MDFC creatures/spells to generate value while casting interaction and card advantage spells.

The deck plays like a toolbox control-midrange list: it uses abundant mana rocks/dorks and land fixing to support a greedy five-color manabase, then chains tutors, draw engines, and efficient answers to stay ahead. Cards like Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, The Great Henge, and Sylvan Library keep cards flowing, while Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Cyclonic Rift, Supreme Verdict, Toxic Deluge, Farewell, and assorted removal control the board.
