Foundations

Foundations is a black-white (Orzhov) lifegain/midrange deck in Standard. It aims to gain life repeatedly with cards like Authority of the Consuls, Sun-Blessed Healer, Hinterland Sanctifier, Angel of Vitality, and Vampire Nighthawk, then turn that into pressure through Marauding Blight-Priest, which drains the opponent whenever you gain life.

The deck plays a grindy control game, using removal and disruption like Mortify, Banishing Light, Bake into a Pie, Deadly Plot, and Duress to keep the board clear while its lifegain engines stabilize. It generally wins by outlasting aggressive decks, draining the opponent over time, and attacking with efficient lifelink/value creatures.
