Bolas Cruel Reign

Bolas Cruel Reign is a Grixis (blue-black-red) Commander control/midrange deck built around Nicol Bolas and a classic “grind value, disrupt hands, then take over” game plan.

It aims to ramp with rocks, control the board with removal, counters, and sweepers, and then win by landing powerful top-end threats like multiple Nicol Bolas cards, Grave Titan, Torrential Gearhulk, Dragonlord Silumgar, and planeswalkers. A strong subtheme is discard/punisher value: cards like Windfall, Syphon Mind, Sire of Insanity, Liliana’s Caress, Waste Not, and Geth’s Grimoire turn opponents discarding into damage, mana, cards, and advantage.

Overall, the deck wins by attrition and inevitability—emptying hands, answering threats, and eventually dominating the game with Bolas planeswalkers and big value creatures.
