Solemnity Silence Lock

Solemnity Silence Lock is an Esper (white-blue-black) stax/control combo Commander deck built around Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. Its main plan is to slow the table with hate pieces and lock effects, then win through either a hard lock or a compact combo finish.

Key synergies:

• Solemnity + Decree of Silence creates a near-total spell lock, since Decree counters spells without getting depletion counters.
• Solemnity + Phyrexian Unlife makes it very hard to lose to damage, buying huge amounts of time.
• Silence + Isochron Scepter can repeatedly shut opponents out on their turns.
• The deck backs this up with classic stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate, Lavinia, Blind Obedience, Rest in Peace, Energy Flux, and Tabernacle to constrain opposing game plans.

It wins primarily via:

• Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation / Tainted Pact
• Possible mana-combo lines with Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal and strong fast mana
• Occasionally by simply **locking the
