The deck taxes everyone for casting spells, gains life to offset Liesa’s self-damage, and steadily drains opponents with cards like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, Cliffhaven Vampire, Blood Artist, and Zulaport Cutthroat.

Its core synergies are life gain + life loss: Soul Sister effects, Kambal, Authority of the Consuls, and Liesa’s passive keep your life total high while turning that gain into damage. It can also assemble powerful finishers like Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond/Vito for an infinite drain combo, or close games with big spells such as Exsanguinate, Debt to the Deathless, Aetherflux Reservoir, or Bolas’s Citadel turns.
