Lathiel

Lathiel is a Selesnya (green-white) lifegain counters Commander deck. Its core plan is to gain life repeatedly with cards like Soul Warden, Essence Warden, Ajani’s Welcome, Daxos, and Prosperous Innkeeper, then use Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn to turn that life gain into +1/+1 counters across your board at each end step.

The deck plays like a go-wide/value-combo creature deck, building a board of efficient creatures and counter synergies with cards like Conclave Mentor, Good-Fortune Unicorn, Rishkar, Abzan Falconer, and Trelasarra. It can win through large evasive attackers and tall threats enhanced by Sunbond/Light of Promise, or through infinite/near-infinite combo lines such as Spike Feeder + Sunbond/Light of Promise, Scurry Oak + Rosie Cotton/Ivy Lane Denizen, and Walking Ballista as a payoff for huge counter generation.

Ramp and protection help it stay ahead, while efficient removal and sweepers keep opponents in check until the board snowballs
