Azula

Azula is a Grixis (blue-black-red) Commander spellslinger/voltron deck built around Fire Lord Azula as an evasive, high-damage threat. The deck uses lots of cheap cantrips and combat tricks like Expedite, Distortion Strike, Shadow Rift, and Crimson Wisps to keep cards flowing, push Azula through blockers, and boost damage output.

Its main synergies are with prowess-style creatures like Sprite Dragon and Stormchaser Mage, plus equipment such as Runechanter’s Pike, Blackblade Reforged, and protection pieces like Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots. The deck aims to win by making Azula hard to block, protecting her, and dealing lethal commander damage, often with burst finishers like Temur Battle Rage, Twinferno, or Psychotic Fury. Backup interaction from counters, removal, and sweepers helps clear the way while the deck churns through cards efficiently.
